U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) today issued the following statement after four Americans were killed during an attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya:
“I express my deep condolences to the family of Christopher Stephens, the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, and his three fellow Americans working at the consulate in Benghazi. These four officials were serving their country, helping to protect and spread the freedom Americans hold dear, while assisting the Libyan people in rebuilding from a brutal regime. This was an attack on all Americans and must be condemned by our allies around the world in the strongest of terms.”
