Hatch Congratulates Elder Snow on Appointment to White House Faith-Based Partnerships Office
U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) today congratulated Elder Steven E. Snow on his appointment to the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Elder Snow currently serves as Church Historian, Recorder, and Church History Department Executive Director for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Utah.
“Elder Snow has provided dedicated service to the Church and I know he will serve as a valuable member of the President’s Advisory Council,” Hatch said. “The faith-based office is made up of leaders of religions from across our great country, and Elder Snow’s appointment ensures that the LDS faith will have a seat at the table.”
The office “forms partnerships between government at all levels and non-profit organizations, both secular and faith-based, to more effectively serve Americans in need,” according to the office website. To learn more about the Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, click HERE.
