Hatch Statement on Resignation of U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Director Michelle Lee
Washington, D.C.—Senator Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, the senior member and former Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Chairman of the Senate Republican High-Tech Task Force, issued the following statement on the resignation of Michelle Lee as Director of United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO):
“Michelle Lee has done an admirable job over the past two years guiding the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. I look forward to working with the President to confirm a new USPTO Director who will build on Lee’s work and advance a pro-innovation agenda that will strengthen our nation’s position as the global technology leader.”
